Who is PokerGuy21?

by Jake St. Pierre September 25th, 2009

Could you be the next PokerGuy21?

PokerGuy21 is a freaking legend. Born in the mid 80s to a roadie backstage at a Police concert, PokerGuy21 grew up fast on the rock and roll touring circuit. Raised by poker playing roadies, PokerGuy21 knew the basics of tight aggressive play by the time he was five.

Having been given the name PokerGuy21, there was no doubt about his destiny. He would be the greatest poker player ever to live. Sadly, tragedy struck on PokerGuy21’s 21st birthday, during an electrical storm, when he was about to win his 21st $100,000 Guaranteed Tournament, a bolt of lightning blasted through his window and struck both him and his computer, essentially welding his consciousness into the machine.

While this is all just rumor and supposition to most, you can still find veteran grinders on some of the poker forums out there, who swear, that if you listen really hard, you can hear the whisper of PokerGuy21 through your headphones while playing the Cake Poker $100K Guaranteed.

PokerGuy21 recently gained a renewed level of notoriety when his name “accidentally” made its way into the emails of a large chunk of Cake Poker players. While various reasons for this happening have been proposed, the most widely accepted explanation is that the spirit of PokerGuy21 was sending a message to Cake.

Never being a company interested in angering the spirits of legendary poker players, Cake Poker has decided to hold a sacrificial freeroll in honor of the great man. It is thus we would like to announce the PokerGuy21 Freeroll!

It’ll take place this Saturday at 2pm ET. Prizes will include the top five players receiving Cake Poker Chipsets while first place will be granted the additional honor of getting to use “PokerGuy21” as their screen name for a week.

The Password for the PokerGuy21 freeroll is of course, PokerGuy21
