In what turned out to be a seriously stacked WSOP Europe Main Even Final Table, we are seeing a repeat of last year except in double.

In 2008 Ivan Demidov impressed us when he made the WSOP Europe Final Table and finished third as an appetizer for the Main Event in Vegas where he has seat waiting for him in the November Nine. Vegas treated him even better than London as he finished second for nearly $6 million.

Fast forward to 2009 and we’re looking at not one, but two members of the November Nine heading into the WSOP Europe Final Table, James Akenhead and and Antoine Saout.

Akenhead comes in second in chips with 1,398,000, while Saout will be start tomorrow with 701,000, sixth overall.

Interestingly, November Niner, Jeffrey Shulman, is proving that running good can be a family thing as his father, Barry Shulman is among those in the WSOPE Final Table.

Chip leader is Jason Mercier with a very solid lead of 3,198,000. Also of note is the ever-dangerous Daniel Negreanu in the short stack with 438,000. This makes for back-to-back WSOPE Main Event Final Tables for Negreaunu who finished in 5th place last year.
