Despite a dip in ratings from last year, ESPN has committed to seven more years of WSOP coverage. (Image Courtesy Pokerroad.com)

Of all the poker shows on TV, nothing brings the great game of poker to the masses quite like ESPN’s coverage of the WSOP. So it is great to see that Fox Business is reporting that ESPN has signed a new seven-year broadcast deal with the WSOP.

The current deal between ESPN and the WSOP ends next year after the 2010 WSOP. This new deal will see coverage assured through 2018, so hopefully we’ll be able to watch it from the monitors in our flying cars.

The deal hasn’t been expressed through an official announcement yet, but that’s expected to come from the WSOP and ESPN tomorrow.

The World Series of Poker on ESPN continues tomorrow night with the first episodes covering the Main Event.

Check out the complete WSOP TV Schedule and plan your Tuesday nights accordingly.
